Mark is a working illustrator, fine artist and educator living in Lehi, Utah. Whether it's creating a character or painting a portrait Mark is all about creating compelling images.

 

Who knew that playing football would lead to an art career?! In high school Mark was injured mid-season and had to replace his varsity football class. Mark took an art class and the rest is history. Mark ended up studying at and graduating with honors from Ricks College, in Rexburg, Idaho and Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, California.

After a few years of working in Illustration, Mark decided to pursue his interest in studying in the academic tradition of drawing and painting at the Angel Academy, in Florence, Italy. There Mark solidified his skillful draftsmanship and craft. Mark has a unique skill set, having been highly trained and tested in both illustration and fine art.

Mark's work is in private collections throughout the world. His illustration is sought after by many clients that are interested in clear visual communication.

Teaching has been another large part of Mark's career. He has an extensive list of courses and schools at which he has taught including Salt Lake Community College, Brigham Young University Idaho, Utah Valley University, Broadview Entertainment Arts University, and the Art Institute of Salt Lake City. Mark enjoys getting out of the studio and sharing his knowledge and skill with up and coming artists.
